Buster T. Penix, 77, 320 Cripple Creek Loop, Watauga, TN died Friday, August 5, 2005 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Penix was a native of Sullivan County and had lived in Watauga since 2003. He was a son of the late Elbert and Lula Barr Penix. Mr. Penix was a retired employee of North American Rayon Corporation with thirty five years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and two sisters. Survivors include: his wife, Jo Bowlin Penix of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Al Burrell of Watauga; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Deb Penix of Kingsport; One sister, Martha Richardson of Bakersville, NC; two grandchildren and spouse, Nathan and Jennifer Penix of Kingsport, Danny Penix of Kingsport. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Mr. Buster T. Penix will be held at 8 PM Sunday, August 7, 2005 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Donnie Humphreys, officiating. The graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM Monday in the Shell Cemetery in Piney Flats. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 10:15 AM Monday for the service. Active pallbearers will be Nathan Penix, Danny Penix, Ronnie Penix, Donnie Penix, Donald White, Troy White, and Roy Penix, Jr. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 6 to 8 PM Sunday prior to the service
