Mrs. Callie Tester, 93, 664 Tank Hill Road, Piney Flats, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009 in the NHC HealthCare. Mrs. Tester was a native of Johnson City and had lived most of her life in Piney Flats. She was the daughter of the late Lula King. In addition to her mother her husband, Ted Tester, Sr.; one son, Ralph Tester; one grandson, Doug Tester; one great granddaughter, Tabatha Tester also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and also of the Freewill Baptist faith. Survivors include: four sons, James Tester and his wife Mary of Johnson City, Bobby Tester and his wife Elizabeth of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Teddy Tester, Jr. and his wife Peggy of Piney Flats and Luther Tester of Bluff City; two daughters, Irene Roark of Bristol and Phyllis Mottern of Erwin; twenty grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren. The funeral service for Mrs. Callie Tester will be conducted at 8 PM Monday, November 16, 2009 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Edward Davis will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 10 AM Tuesday in the Shell Cemetery, Piney Flats. Active pallbearers will selected from grandchildren and friends. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at Morris-Baker by 9:15 AM Tuesday to go in procession. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday prior to the service and other times at the residence of the son, Teddy Tester, 637 Tank Hill Road, Piney Flats.
