Carl Earnest Weems, Iii

Carl 'Buddy'? Weems ,60, of Johnson City, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 14, 2010. He was a Science Hill graduate and a Vietnam veteran as a member of the U. S. Navy he served on the USS Richard Edwards. Mr. Weems was a former employee of the T. P. I. Corporation, he had been retired for several years. Mr. Weems was a member of the First Christian Church in Johnson City. He was a son of the late Carl Jr. and Wanda Davis Weems. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Ricky, and his paternal grandparents, Carl and Ada Weems and his maternal grandparents, John M. Davis and Sarah Treadway Davis, a beloved aunt, Doris 'Dot'? Marshall. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Lisa; three sisters, Patricia Adams and her husband, Jim, Faye Barrett and her husband, John, and Kathy Pritchett and her husband Robert; one brother, Danny Weems and his wife, Lisa 'Dusty'?; Special cousins, Debbie Weems, Cindy Anderson and her husband Randy, Penny Anderson and her husband Tim, Vickie Lewis and her husband, CJ, Alex Potter, Bradley Potter and an extra special cousin Taylor Anderson. Several in laws, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 pm Wednesday, June 16, 2010 from the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Dr. Ronald L. Blackmore and Chaplain Donald Mushaymunda will officiate. Rev. Adam Bellamy will officiate the Graveside services. Burial services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday from Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home on Thursday by 10:45 am and proceed to the cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Wednesday.
