Carl F. Crowe

Mr. Carl F. Crowe, 81, Johnson City, passed away Thursday April 29, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Crowe was a lifelong resident of Washington County. He was the son of the late Goldie and Carmel Crump Crowe. In addition to his parents two sisters, Francis and Maye Crowe also preceded him in death. Mr. Crowe was a Farmer and a member of the Boone Trail Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife, Evelyn Forbes Crowe of the home; one daughter, Janice Olinger and her husband Jim; one son, Jeffrey Crowe and his wife Tammy; one sister, Rhea Calloway and her husband Joel of Kingsport; one brother, Maynard Crowe and his wife Peggy of Johnson City; three granddaughters, Amy Olinger, Kaitlyn Crowe and Ashlyn Crowe. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Amedisys Hospice, 167 Hudson Drive, Elizabethton, Tn. 37643. The funeral service for Mr. Carl F. Crowe will be conducted at 2 PM Monday May 3, 2010 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Dr. Randy Helms will officiate. The graveside committal service will follow in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be: Pat McQueen, Don Dwyer, Orlis Francis, Bill Sells, Terry Ford and Franklin Sell. Honorary pallbearers will be: the Adult Sunday Sunday School Class at Boone Trail Baptist Church, Dr. Grant Taylor, Dr. Ray Lamb and Dr. and Mrs. James Evans. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 PM Sunday.
