Carl Matthew Schmidt

Carl Matthew Schmidt, 30, of Unicoi died on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at his residence. He was a native of Johnson City, son of Paul and Kathy Lowe Schmidt. Carl lived in Greenback for over two decades with his maternal grandmother before moving to Johnson City where he became a member of the Dawn of Hope family. He attended Clover Hill Presbyterian Church in Maryville for many years. Survivors including his parents are: his twin brother, Jonathan Schmidt of Johnson City; a sister, Corinne Schmidt of Donna, TX; his maternal grandmother, Charlsie Lowe of Greenback; his paternal grandparents, Edward and Marilyn Schmidt of Easton, MD. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the Morris ? Baker Funeral Home in the Dogwood Chapel. A funeral service will be conducted following under the direction of Rev. Reggie Weems. A committal service will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to assemble by 1:50 pm.
