Carla S. Miller

Mrs. Carla S. Miller, 86, 2 Kensington Court, Johnson City, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2009 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Miller was a native of Adair County, Missouri. She was the daughter of the late Carl Clinton Sanders and Thelma Bell Sanders. In addition to her parents her husband of sixty-three years Lee Roy Miller, an infant daughter, Ann Elizabeth Miller and a brother, Kermit E. Sanders also preceded her in death. Mrs. Miller was a homemaker. She was a member of the Pinecrest Baptist Church for twenty-four years where she served as the church librarian for several years. She was a lifetime member of the D.A.R. She was a volunteer school librarian for several years. Mrs. Miller enjoyed her crafts, her flowers, spending time with her children and her Genealogy. Survivors include: three sons, Sanders Miller and his wife Deborah of Johnson City, Charles Miller of Johnson City and Paul Edwin Miller of Johnson City. The funeral service for Mrs. Carla S. Miller will be conducted at 8 PM Tuesday, December 15, 2009 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Pastor Gary D. Thacker will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 10 AM Wednesday in the Roselawn Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 9:15 AM Wednesday to go in procession. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday prior to the service.
