Carol Ann Knabel

Carol Ann Knabel, 64, of 1908 Loire Valley Road, Johnson City, died Monday, July 27, 2009 at her residence. She was a native of Chicago, Illinois, daughter of the late Fred and Marie Suski Walter. Carol was a certified occupational therapy assistant. She attended the Lone Oak Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Knabel in 2008; also a brother Richard Walter. Carol was an excellent seamstress and cook, she loved animals and had enjoyed many dogs as pets through the years. She was a loving and adored wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law, Brad Knabel and Jennifer Goldsmith of Rosslyn Farms, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Diana Williams of the home; two grandchildren, Samuel Knabel and Haley Williams; a brother, Bill Walter of Mesa, Arizona. A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, July 31, 2009 at the Lone Oak Christian Church under the direction of Mr. Tad Johnson at 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be made in the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, 508 Princeton Road, Johnson City, TN 37601 or the American Lung Association, 1950 Arilingate Lane, Columbus, Ohio43228.
