Caroline Marie Croteau, 77, Gray, died Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Croteau was a native of Portsmouth, NH and had lived in Gray for the past several years. She was a daughter of the late William S. and Ruth Pickering Palmer and was preceded in death by one son, James W. Croteau and three sisters, Doris Boston, Elsie Barrett and Barbara Goodwin and one brother, Everett Palmer. Mrs. Croteau was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Roland Croteau; one daughter, Heidi Croteau, Kingsport; three sons, Arthur Coffey and his wife, Lou-Ann, Lee, NH, Gerard Roy and his wife, Ashley, Austin, TX and Joseph Croteau and his wife, Sharon, Knoxville, TN; two brothers, William Palmer, Palm Beach, FL and John Palmer and his wife, Lenore, Newmarket, NH and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family of Mrs. Croteau will receive friends from 6:00 pm until the Rosary service at 7:30 pm Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Monday, November 30, 2009 at St. Marys Catholic Church, with Father Michael Cummins serving as celebrate. Committal services will follow at Church Hill Memorial Gardens, Church Hill TN. Active pallbearers will be Bob Browning, Almon Boston, James Croteau, Jr., Christopher Croteau, Leon Croteau and John Palmer. John Martineau will serve as an alternate pallbearer.
