Carolyn Ann Holland passed away Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Dekalb Medical Center in Decatur, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty years, Emmitt L. Holland in 1997. She is survived by: her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Bruce Evans of Stone Mountain, GA; a sister, Nancy Gates of Loganville, GA; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Judy Headrick of Soddy Daisy, TN and Rick and Linda Headrick of Limestone, TN; an aunt, Gladys Depew of Johnson City, TN; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive. Carolyn was a loving wife and mother and was loved by everyone who knew her. No words can express how much we will miss her. Our lives will be forever enriched by just knowing this incredible woman. She was cherished by her family and friends and was a joy to us all. She enjoyed seeing the world and bringing a smile to peoples faces. Carolyn was a member of Annistown Road Baptist Church in Snellville, Georgia. She loved Jesus and her church and especially loved hearing the choir and how it made her feel closer to God. The funeral service for Carolyn Ann Holland will be conducted at 8 PM Sunday, June 28, 2009 in the Morris-Baker Chapel. Rev. Jim Crutchfield will officiate. The committal service will be conducted at 1 PM Monday in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Morris-Baker from 6 to 8 PM Sunday, prior to the service.
