Carolyn Bennett Schaefer

Mrs. Carolyn Bennett Schaefer, 74, Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013 in her home. Mrs. Schaefer was a Johnson City native and a daughter of the late Charles Frank Bennett and Ora Louise Greene Bennett. She was a Science Hill High School graduate. After high school, Mrs. Schaefer relocated to Florida, where she worked as a security specialist for the space program. She returned to Johnson City in 2006. Mrs. Schaefer attended Buffalo Valley Christian Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Schaefer was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Schaefer. Survivors include: one son, Brian Schaefer and his wife Yvonne, Orlando, FL; two grandsons, Reese and Landon Schaefer, Orlando; one sister, Pat White and her husband Joel, Johnson City; two brothers, Bob Bennett and his wife Charlotte, Johnson City and Bill Bennett and his wife Pamela, Gray; one sister-in-law, Lola Hayes, New York; several nieces and nephews; and special dog, Dale.
