Ms. Carolyn Hollyfield, 77, of Johnson City, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017, at Lakebridge Health Care Center in Johnson City, Carolyn was born and grew up in Hancock County, Tennessee and spent her adult life in Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late James Monroe and Elizabeth Nan Bush. Carolyn graduated from Hancock County High School in 1957, where she was the Salutatorian of her graduating class. She graduated from East Tennessee State University in 1962 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Carolyn worked in the insurance and real estate industry in Johnson City for many years. Survivors include her best friend and former husband, Ross Hollyfield; one son, Jeff Hollyfield and his wife Tammy; one daughter, Sally Pardue and her husband Robert; and two grandchildren, Grace Caroline and Henry Pardue. She was a beloved mother and grandmother and will be missed greatly by her family. The family of Ms. Carolyn Hollyfield will host a small private service for family and close friends on Sunday, September 10, 2017, at 2pm at Morris-Baker Funeral Home in Johnson City.
