Carolyn Newbrough Christian

Carolyn Newbrough Christian, 67, Piney Flats, passed away Saturday December 7, 2013 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Howard and Frances Autry Newbrough. Carolyn was of the Baptist faith. She had a driving need to help others, and did so through her work as a registered nurse for over forty years. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by: her husband, Patton Christian; sister, Judy Newbrough; and brother, Ted Edwards, Jr. Survivors include: two brothers, Odell Edwards of Piney Flats and Kenneth Newbrough of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Sheryl Kaspor of Unicoi and Gail Johnson of Johnson City; and two nephews, Michael Orsi and Christopher McCormick both of Johnson City.
