Charles Clinton ?Clint' Boswell, 89, of Johnson City, died Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at his residence. He was a native of Enfield, NC, son of the late Charles ?Jay' and Virginia Gathings Boswell. Clint was a retired salesman of auto parts and auto parts franchises. He was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church. Clint was member and former director of Musical Voices Choir. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the U. S. Army Air Corp and veteran of the Korean War having served in the U. S. Air Force. Clint cared greatly for his family and prayed for them faithfully. In addition to his parents, Clint, was preceded in death by an infant brother, James Marvin Boswell. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Jeannette Lyons Boswell of the home; four sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie Clinton and Sandy Boswell of Hampton, VA, Dennis Gene and Shanna Boswell of Daleville, VA, Bill Jack and Bea Boswell of Johnson City and Terry Lynn and Betsy Boswell of Kannapolis, NC; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Wilma Boswell of Limestone and Bill and Lillian Boswell of Johnson City; a sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Gene Cornett of Watauga; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 18, 2015 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the Morris ? Baker Funeral Home. A funeral service is to follow on Monday, October 19, 2015 at 1:00pm in the Dogwood Chapel under the direction of Dr. Tommy Hood. A committal service will be conducted at 2:30pm at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Military honors are to be accorded by the Boone Dam VFW and Tennessee National Guard. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
