Charles Edward Campbell, Jr., 38, of Elizabethton, died Monday, August 28, 2006 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native of Johnson City and had lived here in the area all of his life. He was a son of Charles Edward Campbell, Sr., Elizabethton, and the late Barbara Edmondson Campbell. Mr. Campbell was a worked in the construction industry and as a mechanic. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Tammy Campbell. Survivors include: his father, Charles Edward Campbell, Sr., Elizabethton; a son, Joshua Cody Campbell, Elizabethton; three daughters, Charlana M. Campbell, Elizabethton, Logan Campbell and Tammy Campbell, both of Johnson City; brother of his two eldest children, Teddy Ballis; grandson, Little Cody; four brothers, Randy Blevins and Robert Blevins, both of Elizabethton, Gerald Saylor and Mitchell Campbell, both of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, John and Melanie Rogers, Christy Hensley and Reba Barnette. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2006 at the McKeehan Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Pastor Mike Abel. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. when family and friends will process to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
