Charles Edward “Ched” Robinson, 65, Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023.
Ched was born in Richmond, VA. He moved to Johnson City in 2001, and he loved his mountain home. He was a United States Marine Corp veteran and worked as a welder prior to his disability. Ched loved to fish, followed NASCAR, enjoyed traveling—especially to Gatlinburg and the beach, and taking his Mustang to car shows.
Ched was predeceased by his parents, Elsie Mae W. Robinson and Ernest L. Robinson Jr. and his wife, Tresa Robinson. He is survived by his daughter, Tori Taylor (Chris); granddaughter, Cora; brother, Michael L. Robinson (Jean); step-sister, Pam Graves (Tracy); niece, Jaime York (Ty) and nephew, Jeffery Robinson (Renee), grandnieces and grandnephews, and many cousins. He is also survived by his loving companion, Hope Phillips, her children, and his honorary grandchildren, Nataleigh Ollis, Malik Thomas, Aubree Nelson, Michael Phillips, and Bentley Phillips. He also is survived by his faithful canine companion, Flozzie.
Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. at Morris-Baker Funeral Home, with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Richmond, VA, at a later date.
