Charles James 'C.J.'? Campbell, 84 of Johnson City, died Monday, May 27, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native of Buladean, NC, son of the late Lace Gilbert and Ola Mae Chase Campbell. C. J. was retired employee of Texas Instruments in 1991. He was a faithful and longtime member of the Watauga Point Methodist Church and also had served in the U. S. Air Force. C.J. was a longtime member of the Watauga Masonic Lodge. In addition to his parents, a son, Charles Randy Campbell in 2004 and sister, Trula Burleson, preceded him in death. Survivors include: his wife of 61 years, Ina Ledford Campbell of the home; a daughter-in-law, Lois Campbell of Piney Flats; a grandson, Philip Campbell of Nashville; a brother, Jeter Campbell of Johnson City; two nephews, Bradley Burleson of Johnson City and Ricky Burleson of Bakersville, NC; a niece, Sandy Campbell of Johnson City. A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the South Chapel of the Morris '? Baker Funeral Home, under the direction of Rev. Estel Williams and Rev. Mike Berry. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm. A committal service will be conducted in Roselawn Memory Gardens and active pallbearers will be: J. M. Whitson, Marvin Whitson, Ray Hyder, Brad Burleson, Herman Radford and Truman Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be: the members of the Watauga Point Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to the church at: 409 Gap Creek Road, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
