Charles Lloyd Davis

Charles Lloyd Davis, 76, of Johnson City, died Monday, September 16, 2013, at his home. He was a lifelong resident of Johnson City and son of the late Charlie and Faye Davis. He was a graduate of Science Hill High School in 1957. Charles was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and attended McKinley Memorial Bible Church. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by: one stepson, Noel Sutherland; one stepdaughter, Cinderella Joyce; and an infant sister. He is survived by: his wife, Virginia Sutherland Davis, of the home; two sons, Buddy Davis, and his wife Dawn, and Danny Lynn Davis; several grandchildren; three stepdaughters, Melinda Stidham, Stella Perkins and her husband Ben, and Lisa Sutherland; one stepgranddaughter, Michelle Presley; and one stepgrandson, Michael Owens. The family of Mr. Charles Davis will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home.The funeral will be conducted at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 19, 2013, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Pastor Lenny Smith will officiate. The committal service will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Boone Dam VFW will accord military honors.
