Charles Luther Canipe

Charles Luther Canipe, 67, of Piney Flats, died Monday, April 18, 2011 at his residence. He was a native of Rogersville, son of the late Charles W. and Laura Bobbie Davis Canipe. Charles retired from Bachman '? Rule Honda after 23 years of service. He loved trains and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an aunt, Edith Phillips and a great granddaughter, Kennedy Noel Crumly. Survivors include: three daughters and two sons-in-law, Charlene and Hugh Hudgins of Murfreesboro, Natalie Cornett of Elizabethton and Teresa and Rick Stevens of Johnson City; a cousin, Joey Phillips of Front Royal, VA, a cousin Buddy Canipe of Asheville, NC, and uncle, Luther Canipe of Asheville, NC, grandchildren, Michael Bastin, Danielle Crumly, David Jenkins, Anthony Jenkins, Emily Jenkins, Justin Stevens, Jeremy Stevens and Josh Stevens; one great grandchild, Regan Crumly. Mr. Canipe is to be cremated and will be interred in the Edgefield Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends and family at 426 Laurel Court, Piney Flats, TN 37686, on Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
