Charles Robert Bryant, age 90, of Johnson City, died Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Lakebridge in Johnson City. He was born October 17, 1928 in Elizabethton to the late Charley C. Bryant and Stella Margaret Oaks Bryant. He was also preceded in death by a brother, John William Bryant. Charles served his country in the United States Army as a paramedic on the frontlines in Korea. He was a longtime member of East Unaka Christian Church. Charles was very artistic and he enjoyed painting and carving; he also enjoyed fishing and gardening. Survivors include: his sister, Carmelita Long of Bluff City; sister-in-law, Barbara Bryant; and nieces and nephews, Linda (Bill) Duncan, Patti (Billy) Crumley, David (Jennifer) Long, Patrick S Bryant, Jeff T. (Cindi) Bryant, and DeeDee (Alan) Garrett. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Monte Vista Memorial Park, with Dr. Allen Davis officiating. Friends and Family are asked to gather at Morris-Baker Funeral Home by 1:45 p.m. to leave for the procession to Monte Vista Memorial Park by 1:50 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Piney Flats First Baptist Church.
