Charles 'Wayne' Jackson, 53, of 107 Blevins Lane, Johnson City, died Saturday, July 22, 2006 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native of Sullivan County, son of the late Acie Pierce and Mildred Pauline Perrigan Jackson. Wayne was butcher and was currently employed by Food City. He was attending the Oakdale Baptist Church at Bluff City. Survivors include his wife; Teresa Miller Jackson of the home; a son Andy Jackson of Johnson City; a daughter Rachel Jackson of the home; six brothers and sister-in-laws Harold (& Sarah) Jackson and Robert (& Wilma) Jackson all of Bluff City, Jim (& Evelyn) Jackson of Rockwood, Dale (& Ann) Jackson of Blountville, Randy Jackson and Steve (& Holly) Jackson all of Bluff City; five sisters Betty Jackson, Alice (& her husband Wade) Wise all of Bluff City, Helen Jackson of Johnson City, Diane Jackson and Linda Jackson-Vaught all of Bluff City; several nieces, nephews, an aunt and great nieces and nephews. Special thanks to: the nurses and staff of the 3400 wing of the Johnson City Medical Center, the McCloud Cancer Center and the Cancer Treatment Center staff of the Johnson City Medical Center. A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at 8:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of the Morris - Baker Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until time of service at eight. Visitation at other times at the home. A committal service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at the Washington County Memory Gardens at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home by 10:20 a.m. to leave in procession. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
