Charlie Campbell

Charlie Campbell, 77, of Johnson City, went home to be with the Lord Jesus on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at 903 E. Myrtle Street in Johnson City.He was born May 23, 1931 to the late, John and Elizabeth Diane Wagner Campbell. Mr. Campbell was also preceded in death by his wife, Renia Campbell and a son, Johnny Campbell. Charlie was a loving Dad and Grandpa. Dad, you took part of our hearts with you, Love Barbara and LindaMr. Campbell was a driller for American Limestone before retirement. He was a member of True Gospel Free Will Baptist Church but attended Princeton Free Will Baptist Church.Survivors include; two sons and seven daughters, Junior Campbell, Billy Campbell, Kathy Inks, Betty Turbyfill, Teresa Turbyfill and Ruth Linchenstine all of Johnson City, Barbara Clawson, Linda Clawson and Faye Clawson all of Roan Mountain; his sister, Carrie Goodman of Johnson City; thirty Grandchildren, thirty five great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted from 674 Riverview Drive in Johnson City, at 8:00 pm Friday. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 11: 00am in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at 674 Riverview Drive from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday.
