Mrs. Charlotte Thomason, 79, Johnson City, passed away peacefully at NHC after a brief illness on Wednesday, March 30, 2016. Daughter of the late Ernest and Sally Eller Lilly, in addition to her parents, Mrs. Thomason was proceeded in death by: her husband George Thomason; one sister, Sue Lilly Stalcup; two brothers, Lynn Lilly and Ralph Gragg. Mrs. Thomason was a longtime member of Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church. Kings Department Store employed her until their closing. After, their closing she was employed by Big-Lots until her retirement. Those left to cherish Mrs. Thomason?s memory include: her daughter, Vickie Neal, of Johnson City, granddaughter, Amanda Neal Lockner and her husband Ben, of Johnson City, great-grandson, Kain Lockner. Several nieces and nephews that she loves dearly: Douglas, Cheryl, Donna, Randy, Archie, John, and Melissa. Also, a special friend: Tommy and Connie Holland and her cousin Carol Duval. The family would like to thank NHC and Caris Hospice staff for the wonderful care of Mrs. Charlotte Thomason. Mrs. Thomason request that there be a graveside committal service held at Monte Vista Memorial Park, Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at 10 AM, with Rev. Paul Crowe officiating. Active pallbearers will be Douglas Lilly, Josh Lilly, Archie Lilly, Randy Lilly, John Stalcup, Danny Neal and Ben Lockner.
