Clara June Church Baines Jenkins

Clara June Church Baines Jenkins, age 86, of Johnson City passed away Easter Sunday morning at Franklin Woods Community Hospital, after a lengthy illness. She is preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Cora Church, sisters Ruth Lewis and Glenna Street, Brothers Elmer, Gene, and Harry Church. Her husband Gene Jenkins. She is survived by: one brother, George Church of Jonesborough, two sons, Melvin ' Moe' and wife Linda Baines, David and wife Brenda Baines, three grandsons, Michael, Matthew, and Joshua Baines; two great grandchildren, Austin and Kelsea Baines; several nieces and nephews. She retired from Church Brothers Coal Co. after over fifty years of service. She was a member of ABWA. She was founder and active member of TOPS TN321 for over thirty-four years. She was a member of Roan Hill Baptist Church. The funeral service for Clara June Jenkins will be conducted at 7 PM Tuesday, April 2, 2013, in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Rev. Gene Cornett will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 1 PM Wednesday, in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Skip Church, Wayne Church, Dennis Church, Jerry Lambert, Roger Kinsler and Tom Baines. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Church, Brian Byrd and Wes Byrd. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 12:30 PM Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday at Morris-Baker prior to the service.
