C. Harold Phillips, 84, of Jonesborough went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at his residence.He was a Washington County native and a son of the late, Ed and Bertha Harris Phillips. Mr. Phillips was also preceded by his wife, Wanda Morelock Phillips and by two sisters, Kate Malone and Ora Correll and by one brother, Fred Phillips. Mr. Phillips was a member of Tacoma Church of God. He served as a deacon, a Sunday School Teacher and as an usher He had served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II. He served in the Military Police and was wounded in combat and received a Purple Heart. Survivors include; one daughter, Brenda Phillips Gray of Johnson City; two sons, Jeff Phillips and his wife, Susie and Larry Phillips all of Jonesborough; three Granddaughters, Maggie Phillips Berry, Krista Phillips Watson and Sara Phillips; one Grandson, Bradly Phillips; one Great Granddaughter, Alyssa M. Watson; A Special friend, Phyllis Sliger.Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 pm on Friday, April 9, 2010 from the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Don Kelly will officiate. Burial services will be held on Saturday at 12:30 pm at Monte Vista Memorial Park. A procession will leave the funeral home at 12:00 pm on Saturday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Friday.
