Clarence Honeycutt, 86, Johnson City, died Sunday, May 3, 2015 at the NHC Healthcare of Johnson City. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC, son of the late Carl and Kansas Street Honeycutt. He was of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Mary Ruth Norris Honeycutt in 2010. Survivors include: four sons, Dallas Honeycutt (Nancy) and Daryl Honeycutt (Jeanette) all of Jonesborough, Dale Honeycutt (Bonnie) and Mark Honeycutt all of Johnson City; a daughter Christine Laws (Daryl) both of Johnson City; three sisters Nellie Ledford and Lola Bowers both of Johnson City and Viola Caldwell (Thurman) of Carter County; eight grandchildren, Debbie Williams, Josh Honeycutt, Angie Douglas, Jennifer Honeycutt, Dustin Honeycutt, Brandy Goff, Amber Honeycutt and Jeff Laws; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 8:00 pm in the Dogwood Chapel of the Morris ? Baker Funeral Home under the direction of Rev. Mike Richards. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until time of service at 8:00 pm. A committal service will be conducted on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 10:00 am in the Monte Vista Memorial Park with active pallbearers selected from family and friends. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:40 am to the cemetery.
