Mr. Clifton 'Cliff'? Crowe, 71, 2327 East Brooklane, Johnson City went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 17, 2009 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Crowe was a native of Sullivan County and had lived most of his life in Johnson City. He was the son of the late Fred and Mary Bowman Crowe. Mr. Crowe was an employee of Sprint with thirty-seven years of service. He was also a part-time employee of the Johnson City Park and Recreation for the past twelve years. He was a member of the Harrison Christian Church and was a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Crowe is preceded in death by: his parents; and two sisters, Betty Crowe and Ruth Malone. Survivors include: his wife of forty-five years, Shirley Shipley Crowe of the home; two sons, Jeff and wife Georgia Ann Crowe, Randy and wife Shauna Crowe, all of Johnson City; three brothers, Billy and wife Helen Crowe of Bluff City, Jim Crowe of Bristol, Lynn and wife Sandra Crowe of Blountville; one sister, Sue and husband Harold Cross of Blountville; three grandchildren, Ashley Crowe of Dothan, Alabama, Dylan Crowe and Daniel Crowe, both of Johnson City; two great grandchildren, Danica and Jared. The funeral service for Clifton 'Cliff'? Crowe will be conducted at 7 PM Tuesday, October 20, 2009 in the Harrison Christian Church. Minister Paul Helphinstine will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church from 4 to 7 PM Tuesday prior to the service. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 PM Wednesday in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Everyone will meet at Morris-Baker at 1:30 PM Wednesday to go in procession. Active pallbearers will be Billy Crowe, Lynn Crowe, Jeff Crowe, Randy Crowe, Dylan Crowe, Daniel Crowe. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Crowe, Ashley Crowe, Co-workers at the Johnson City Park and Rec.
