Clyde Murray Cooper, 93, of Johnson City, died Friday, December 3, 2010 at Franklin Woods Community Hospital. He was a native of Knoxville, son of the late Robert M. and Irene Daughtry Cooper. Clyde was a retired auditor for 41 years at Tennessee Eastman. He was a veteran and Major in the U. S. Air Force. Clyde was a member of the First Christian Church for 64 years. He served for 25 years on the Washington County Commission, active in Boy Scouts of America and a member on the Board of Review and Treasurer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Cooper Newberry. Survivors include: his wife of 68 years, Eunice Morgan Cooper of the home; three sons, Rick Cooper of Charlotte, NC, Mark Cooper of Glenview, IL and Bob Cooper of Johnson City; four grandchildren, Rob Cooper, Mary Robertson, Christopher Cooper and Alexander Cooper; eleven great grandchildren. A funeral service is scheduled for Monday, December 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the South Chapel of the Morris '? Baker Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. A committal service will be conducted following the service in the Monte Vista Memorial Park.
