Curtis L. Williams

Curtis L. Williams, 69, of 159 Frank Stanton Road, Limestone died Saturday, April 25, 2009 as a result of an automobile accident on Highway 107 at Chuckey. He was a native of Carter County, son of the late Howard and Jettie Stidham Williams. Curtis was a veteran of the Korean War era having served in the U. S. Army in Europe. He was an avid fisherman, loved gardening and woodworking. Survivors include: his wife Micheline Grieu Williams of the home; a daughter, Marie France LaCour and her husband, Roland of Nancy, France; a brother and sister-in-law, Terry and June Williams of Florida; seven sisters and three brothers-in-law, Charlotte and Carroll Thomas, Loretta Mathes, Edna Pollack, Nancy Alexander, Evon Ward all of Carter County, Vicky and Steven Gray of Knoxville and Rosella and Ernest Miller of Kingsport. A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Rev. Rance Edwards in the South Chapel of the Morris '' Baker Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at eight. A committal service will be conducted on Friday, May 1, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be: Steve Price, Mickey Gilton, Richard Coffee, Dennis Turbyfield, Louis Keith Pollack and Michael Reed. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the Morris '' Baker Funeral Home to leave in procession on Friday by 10:30 a.m.
