Cy Warden Anders, 57, of 1001 Parkway, Sevierville, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at the Fort Sanders Sevier Medical Center. He was a native of Johnson City and a son of Joyce Anders and the late Claude Anders. Cy was President and CEO of Ober Gatlinburg, Inc. He received his Bachelors degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and had been a Graduate Student Instructor at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Cy worked extensively for WUOT radio at the University of Tennessee. Survivors include: his mother, Joyce Anders of Johnson City; four brothers and their wives, William Rex and Becky Anders of Gatlinburg, Bruce and Cindy Anders of Kodak, Kent Randall and Rose Anders of Johnson City, Keith Douglas and Beverly Anders of Johnson City; Rex and Beckys family, Tammy Moss of Maryville, Christie Rutledge of Clinton, Samantha Anders of Gatlinburg; Bruce and Cindys family, Marcus Anders and Jared Anders both of Johnson City; Kent and Roses family, Tucker Anders and Abigail Anders both of Johnson City; Keith and Beverlys family, Christopher Anders of Johnson City, Ben Anders of Asheville, NC and Elliott Anders of Johnson City. A graveside service will be conducted on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at the Monte Vista Memorial Park at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. then go in procession from Morris '' Baker Funeral Home to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to support WUOT radio at the University of Tennessee.
