Cynthia A. Booth, formerly of 1317 Lowell Street, Johnson City, died Thursday, March 11, 2010 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Cocke County, TN, daughter of the late H. L. and Leona Ford Clark. Cynthia had resided in Johnson City since 1938. She had worked in Baltimore, Maryland for Glen L. Martin, also for J. C. Penney and had been a hairdresser for 45 years. Cynthia was a member of the Central Baptist Church and was a life member of: Military Order of the Purple Heart, American Legion, JC unit #24 and VFW #2108. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Warren K. Hawk and her second husband, Theodore A. Booth; a stepson, James D. Hawk; a sister, Pearl Kellar and a brother, Wid Clark. Survivors include: her daughter, Barbara Ann Garst of Jonesborough; a sister, Gretelle Braddon Kopp of Dearborn, MI; a brother, Fred Clark of Rock Hill, SC; two grandsons, Richard L. Garst of Jonesborough and John Mark Garst of Concord, NC; a great grandson, Christopher M. Garst of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends for Mrs. Booth on Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Morris '? Baker Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Monte Vista Memorial Park with a procession leaving Morris '?
