Mr. Dallas F. Honeycutt, age 89, of Johnson City, passed away, Saturday, December 24, 2011 in the James H. Quillen VA Nursing Home. Mr. Honeycutt was a native of Buladean, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Gibbs Honeycutt and Martha Mosley Honeycutt. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Law Honeycutt, Henry Honeycutt and Wallin Honeycutt; six sisters, Pearl McCarthy, Nan Burleson, Fie Buffington, Ollie Leonard, Grace Brinkley and Tippie Honeycutt. He was a well-dressed man and southern gentleman, devoted son and brother. He was in sales and contracting. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served in the African, Mideast and European Theaters in WWII. He loved his Lord and Savior. Survivors include: seven nieces, Melba Goulding, Teresa Gregory, Barbara Clark, Brenda Carden, Rose Morris, Edna Blevins and Finnie Kipping; three nephews, Bill McCarthy, Johnny McCarthy and Henery McCarthy. The graveside service for Mr. Dallas F. Honeycutt will be conducted at 2 PM Wednesday, December 28, 2011 in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Rev. Bob Edmonds will officiate. The Bristol VFW will accord military honors. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 1:50 PM Wednesday.
