Dalton Jamze Moffitt

Dalton Jamze Moffitt, 2, of Elizabethton, died Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Johnson City Medical Center following an automobile accident. He was a native of Elizabethton, son of Robert Moffitt and Katrina Heaton Nye. Daltons favorite things were motorcycles, big trucks and spending time with his Daddy. Dalton was preceded in death by a brother, Jonathan 'Jon Jon'? Nye and his maternal grandfather David Lynn Heaton. Survivors include: his father, Robert Moffitt, Elizabethton; two sisters, Toni Lee Moffitt and Haven Mathes both of Elizabethton; paternal grandparents, Robert L. Moffitt and Sheila Campbell both of Elizabethton; an uncle, Tony Moffitt and an aunt, Nikki Moffitt both of Elizabethton, cousins, Dylan Moffitt, Elex 'Boo Boo'? Moffitt (his best friend), Katelyn Moffitt and Ben Waters and family; uncle, Elex Campbell and wife and daughter, Christy and Graysea of Virginia Beach, VA;Uncle Bill Moffitt and Family; aunt and uncle, Johnny and Jodie J. Hensley all of Elizabethton on his mothers side; mother, Katrina Nye; a brother, Jamie Nye, a sister Jocelyn Nye-Hicks; maternal grandparents, Teresa McNeil and Marvin Estep all of Elizabethton. Special thanks to Amber Hubbard and Douglas Cody Jennings. A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the Lyons Chapel Cemetery, in Carter County, under the direction of Dale Adkins. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm then leave in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be, Tony Moffitt, Elex Campbell, Ben Waters and Johnny Hensley.
