JOHNSON CITY ? Dana L. Ramsey, 84, joined his loved ones and friends in a higher place after a courageous cancer battle. He passed away at home on June 13. A native of Washington County, he was the son of the late Dana H. and Zella Haire Ramsey. Mr. Ramsey was a retired Bank Building Corporation project manager. He continued to manage rental property until his death. He was an active member of the Moose Lodge 1831 and Elks Lodge 825 of Johnson City. He enjoyed socializing with family and friends, UT football and the lake. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: sisters, Dorothy Ball and Margie Wheeler and brothers, Hot Shot Ramsey and Roger Ramsey. Relatives left behind to cherish his memory include daughter, Kathi and husband Ken Watkins (Jonesborough); granddaughter, Kareena and husband Jeff Wilson, and great-grandsons, Cole and Cooper Wilson (all of Marietta, GA); brother, Harold Ramsey (Gray) and sister, Bonnie Jones (Gray); and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 pm on June 16 in the Morris-Baker Dogwood Chapel. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 1:00 pm under the direction of Dick Morris, Minister. Family and friends will proceed to Washington County Memory Gardens for a 2:00 pm graveside service. Pallbearers are John Brown, Brad Haren, Dana H. Ramsey, Shawn Ramsey, Steve Ramsey and Jim Smail.
