Daniel Clay Glover, 60, of 156 Eastern Star Road, Jonesborough, died Thursday, April 23, 2009 at the Indian Path Medical Center. He was a native of Elizabethton and was raised in Valley Forge, son of the late Raymond Clay and Elizabeth Helen Mier Glover. Daniel was a retired lab technician for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation. He was a member of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church and also volunteered for Meals on Wheels of Kingsport. Survivors include: his wife of 37 years, Linda Byrd Glover of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Chad Penix of Gray; a son and his girlfriend, Aaron Glover and April Easley of Kingsport; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Steve and Janie Glover of Thomasville, NC, Paul and Becky Glover of Kingsport, John and Debbie Glover of Johnson City and LeRoy Johnson of Elizabethton; two grandchildren, Eli Penix and Reagan Penix; one sister-in-law, Harriet Boring and her husband John; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, April 26, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. under the direction of Pastor Jon Reed and Pastor Phil Adcock at the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p. m. until time of service at seven. A committal service will be conducted on Monday, April 27, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. in the Roselawn Memory Gardens. The family and friends are asked to assemble at the Morris '' Baker Funeral Home to leave in precession at 11:00 a.m.
