Daniel Lee Harris

Daniel Lee Harris, 49, of 791 Old Gray Station Road, Gray, died Tuesday, January 5, 2010 in the Life Care Center of Gray. Mr. Harris was a native and life long resident of Washington County and a son of the late Hubert and Regina Carver Harris of the Austin Springs Community. He attended the Hawthorne Church. Mr. Harris is preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers, Edward and Sherrill Harris; one sister, Linda McGlamery; one brother-in-law, Larry Hinkle; one sister-in-law, Barbara Harris; and one great nephew, Ryan Lee Hinkle. Survivors include: one sister, Evelyn Hinkle of Elizabethton; one sister-in-law, Jewel Harris of Johnson City; one brother-in-law, Hayden McGlamery of Trade, TN; one niece and six nephews also survive. The funeral service for Daniel Lee Harris will be conducted at 2 PM Monday, January 11, 2010 in the Mausoleum Chapel at Monte Vista Memorial Park with everyone meeting at the cemetery. Pastor Michael Lyons will officiate. Active pallbearers will be Ricky Harris, Charlie Harris, Larry Hinkle, Lewis Hodge, Wayne Calahan, and Charlie Patrick. Honorary pallbearers will be Edward Harris, Jr., Brian Hinkle, Gary Hyatt, and Michael Calahan. Burial will follow in the cemetery. The family will receive friends at Morris-Baker from 4 to 6 PM Sunday. Friends may also visit at the residence of the sister, Evelyn Hinkle, 1715 Siam Road, Elizabethton at other times.
