David Allen Buchanan

David 'Allen'? Buchanan, 54, of Johnson City passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at his home in Carter County. He was the son of the late Mary Ethel Watson Buchanan and (Stepfather) Mac McCullen. He was of Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, Allen is preceded in death by: grandson, Jacob Mitchell; two brothers, Greg Buchanan and Roger Davis; two sisters, Janice Carr and Faye Townsend. Survivors include: loving wife of 32 years, Teresa Buchanan; two sons, Shanon and wife Crystal Buchanan of Church Hill, TN. and Christopher Mitchell of Mt. City, TN.; five brothers, Tom Davis of Elizabethton, TN., James Davis of Elizabethton, TN., Mike Davis of Bluff City, TN., Phillip Davis of Gray, TN. and Nathan Whitehead of Johnson City, TN.; two sisters, Lois Rambo of Elizabethton and Tammy Godsey of Bluff City, TN.; four grandchildren, Rhylie Buchanan, Lahyklin Buchanan, Mason Mitchell and Schuyler Weatherly; fourteen nieces; thirteen nephews; and best friend, Mickey Fisher. The family of David 'Allen'? Buchanan will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, November 14, 2014 in the Morris Baker South Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm, with the Rev. Dan Case officiating. Friends may call at other times at the home at: 309 North Road, Johnson City. Pallbearers will be: Mike Killian, Terry Hartley, Beaver Woodson, Kevin Fisher, Matt Cheeks and Kenneth Church. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Gunner Presnell and Austin Hughes. Family and Friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 am Saturday, November 15, 2014 to go in procession to Mitchell-Gobble Family Cemetery for a committal service.
