David Bradley Walters, 76, of Johnson City, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
His new address is in Heaven, where we will meet him again one day.
He was born on February 14, 1943, to the late Earl and Hazel Hopper Walters.
David was born and raised in Johnson City. He had enlisted in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He loved to go fishing, watch college football, listen to gospel music and play with his cat, Kitter.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Curl, and one sister, Anna Lee Jones.
Survivors include his wife of twenty-nine years, Sandy Walters; mother of his children, Linda Walters; children, David Todd Walters, Christopher Charles Walters, and Julie Anne Carver; brothers, Phil Walters and Don Walters; eleven grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the caring hospice staff at the Johnson City Medical Center.
A committal service for David Walters will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 22, 2019, at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to gather at the graveside by 1:50 PM.
