David Keith Barnett

David 'Dave'? Keith Barnett, 48, of Johnson City, died Thursday, February 24, 2011 at his residence. He was a native of Washington County, son of A. R. and Maxine Minton Barnett. David was a radio personality and DJ with both WQUT and WTFM. He was of the Baptist faith. David served in the U. S. Navy. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Lance Barnett. Survivors include: his parents A. R. and Maxine Barnett of Johnson City; a daughter Alexa Barnett and a son, Matt Barnett both of Franklin, TN; two brothers, Darryl Barnett of Richmond, KY and Travis Barnett of Chattanooga; a sister Robin Cole of Johnson City; a niece Nikki Cornelius of Fishers, IN and a nephew, Heath Barnett of Berea, KY; three uncles, Bob, Bill and Jack Minton. A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, February 27, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. under the direction of Rev. Reece Harris in the South Chapel of the Morris '? Baker Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:00 p.m. A committal service will be conducted on Monday, February 28, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery. The Kingsport VFW and the Tennessee National Guard will accord military honors.
