David Lee Dave Clark

December 16, 1946 — August 23, 2019

David Lee Clark, 72, Kingsport, passed away Friday, August 23, 2019, at Holston Valley Medical Center.
Dave was born in Big Stone Gap, VA to the late Palmer and Leola Clark.
Dave Retired from Eastman after 38 years as a Capital Project Coordinator, and then continued to work part time for an additional 10 years. He was a member of Central Church of Christ for the past 10 years. He loved spending time at the lake with his family, especially his grandkids.
Dave was stationed in Germany for a year while serving in the U.S. Army from 1967-1969.
In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by: one brother, Don Clark; and one sister, Wilma Jean Clark.
Survivors include: his wife of 47 years, Gay Clark; two daughters, Alice Stephenson and her husband John, and Betsy Palk and her husband Jonathan; five grandchildren, Caleb, Anna and David Stephenson, and Lucy and Kayleigh Palk; two brothers, Robert Clark and his wife Louise; and Jerry Clark and his wife Wendy; one sister-in-law, Millie Clark; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all of their friends and family for the love and support the last few months during Dave’s illnesses.
The family of Dave Clark will receive friends from 4 PM until 6 PM on Monday, August 26, 2019 at Central Church of Christ. The funeral service will follow at 6 PM with Preacher Tim Hall officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The committal service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday at Washington County Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50 PM.
