David O. Warren, Sr., 57, of Johnson City, died Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at his residence. He was a native of Johnson City, son of the late James Edward Warren, Sr. and Wilhelminia Lorraine Hager Warren. David served in the U. S. Army in the 1970s and worked for 29 years for Snap On Tools, also for Marcos Pizza and Blue Bell Creamery. He was a member of Milligan Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, brothers, William (Bill), Charles and Robert Warren preceded him in death. Survivors include: his wife, Nelly R. Warren of the home; two sons, David Warren, Jr. of Johnson City, Allen Scott Warren of Elizabethton; a daughter, Ashley Warren of Johnson City; a grandson, Randy Smith; stepchildren, Kenny Jayne and Pam Wolf both of Kingsport, Jarvis Bennett of Elizabethton; seven step grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four brothers, James, Rick, Tom and Danny Warren; a sister, Betty Tibbs; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, March 21, 2014 at 8:00 pm in the North Chapel of the Morris-Baker Funeral Home under the direction of Pastor Mark Street and Rev. Robert Warren, Jr. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until time of service at 8:00 pm. A committal service will be conducted on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Lyons Chapel Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home to leave in procession at 1:30 pm.
