David R. Johnny Nave

David Ross 'Johnny'? Nave, age 77, of Gray, died Monday, July 29, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native and life long resident of Washington County, TN, and a son of the late Bessie Shipley and Ross Mitchell Nave. Mr. Nave was a member of Hales Chapel Christian Church. He was the owner and operator of Naves Auto Sales. In addition to his parents, Mr. Nave was preceded in death by: three brothers, Ralph, Harold, and Ferrell Nave, and a sister, Cleta Owens. Survivors include: his wife, Linda Nave, of the home; daughter, Karen Nave, Gray; sister, Anna Oliver, Johnson City; and several beloved nieces and nephews. The family of Johnny Nave will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Hales Chapel Christian Church. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM in the church sanctuary. Mr. Lamar Garrison and Mr. Clinton Andrews, Ministers will officiate. Pallbearers will be: Joseph Rooney, Thomas Ramey, Dolfus Booher, Roy Lacey, Marshall Jobe, Bryan Malone, Steve Privette, and Chad Malone. Burial will follow graveside services conducted 10:00 AM Friday in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for those services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hales Chapel Christian Church Organ Fund, 280 Hales Chapel Rd., Gray, TN 37615 or the Washington County-Johnson City Animal Shelter, 525 Sells Avenue, Johnson City, TN 37604.
