David Wilson White

September 2, 1948 — November 21, 2009

David Wilson White, 61, of 207 Meridale Drive, Johnson City, died Saturday, November 21, 2009 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was a native of Erwin, son of the late James White, Jr. and Nancy Rebecca Foster White. David was a retired salesman and had served in the U. S. Air Force. He lived most of his adult life in Johnson City. David graduated from Boones Creek High School, 1967 and attended East Tennessee State University. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Ralph Wayne Hess. Survivors include: his twin sisters and a brother-in-law, Ileen Hess of Bristol, Virginia and Caroline W. and Kenneth Miller of Johnson City; a niece, Dina Overbay and her husband, Jon of Johnson City; three nephews, Wayne and Brian Hess, both of Bristol, VA and Buddy Miller of Johnson City; aunts, Kate Hollifield of Erwin, Edna Keesee of Bristol, Enis Fincannon of Blountville; an uncle, Raymond White of Bristol; several great nieces and nephews; numerous cousins and friends including special friends, Barry and Julie Norris of Carter County and Frank Norris of Atlanta, GA. A graveside service is scheduled for Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at the Roselawn Memory Gardens, under the direction of Evangelist, Charles 'Toonie'? Cash. Honorary pallbearers will be: his nephews, Brian and Wayne Hess, Jon Overbay, Barry Norris and the gang, Coach Bobby Snyder and members of the 1967 Boones Creek Basketball Team.
