Dean L. Rose, 64, Johnson City, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Johnson City Medical Center. Dean was born in Johnson City to the late Paul Landis and Frances Bennett Rose. He graduated from Science Hill High School and attended ETSU. He retired from Brunswick Corp, where he managed bowling centers for over 30 years in NC, GA, FL and WV. Dean loved bowling and sports. He was a loyal fan of the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Braves. Above all, he adored his family. Survivors include: his wife of 32 years, Helen Rose; one sister, Terri Nelson; two step children, Michael Jones and his wife Jane and Lisa Hodge and her husband Tim; three grandchildren, Haley, Laken and Joe; two nieces, Cortney and Kelli Nelson; special friends, Tony Ellis, Rick Bolton, Luke Deanhardt, and many other bowling friends in various states where Dean lived and worked; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Jim Aderhold. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202. The family of Dean Rose will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Southwestern Baptist Church, 1112 Cherokee Rd., Johnson City. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 PM with Pastor Greg Salyer officiating. Special music will be provided by Mark Holloway.
