Deborah Ann Long

Deborah Ann Long, 62, Johnson City, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018, at Johnson City Medical Center. Deborah was born in Chicago, IL to the late Oliver and Joan Rauscher Olmstead. She was a CNA her entire career. She was a very caring and giving person loved by all her patients. She really enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by: one daughter, Dawn Michelle Akres; and two siblings, Ollie and Ricky Olmstead. Survivors include: her spouse of six years, Robert ?Bob' Long? four children, James Akers and his wife Krista, Angela Leighton and her husband Chris, Joni Sexton and her husband Terry, and Xena M. Long; five grandchildren, Dawn L. Hall, Jayden Hall, C.J. Akers, Corey Sexton and Dalton Sexton; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend for over 55 years, Julie Vormittag. The family of Deborah Long will receive friends from 12 PM until 2 PM Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Morris-Baker. The memorial service will follow at 2 PM with Dr. Matthew A. Young officiating.
