Deborah Ellis McIntire, 87, went to her rest on June 5th, 2018 in Johnson City, Tennessee. Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Mackinnon ?Kin? Ellis, MD and Elizabeth ?Kel? Ellis. A debutante of the Baldwin School, she graduated with her degree in mathematics and music from Middlebury College. A lifelong committed volunteer, singer, master gardener and member of the United Methodist Church, she was dedicated to her family, to the pursuit of continued learning and to the many organizations she served. Survived by her loving husband of 63 years, her world travel companion, Don McIntire, and her four children; William, Robert, John, Julia, and her brother, Matthew ?Doc? Ellis. She was blessed with seven grandchildren; Shannon, John, Ryan, Kyle, Scott, Shane and Blake, and great-grandchild; Chloe. Her memorial service will be held on on July 3rd at Munsey United Methodist Church in Johnson City, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to organizations she loved and served; The United Methodist Women and ETSU?s Alliance for Continued Learning. The family of Deborah McIntire will receive friends on July 3rd, 2018 at Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm. A memorial service is to follow at 3:00 pm in the chapel.
