Delmer William Lowe

January 21, 1931 — July 26, 2011

JOHNSON CITY- Mr. Delmer William Lowe, 80, of 1825 W. Lakeview Dr., went home to be with the Lord,on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at his home. A native of Washington County, he was the son of the late George and Annie Blevins Lowe. Delmer was a U.S. Army veteran, 82 Airborne, and retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a Rural Carrier. He was a Mason with the Jonesborough Lodge. Mr. Lowe was a lifelong Christian, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be greatly missed. PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Baby Girl Lowe, his great grandson, Luke Smalling; six brothers, James, Lonza, Dan, Eugene, Roby, and Selmer Lowe; three sisters, Ethel Sheets, Thelma Crocetta, and Bessie Peters. SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Roberta Crowe Lowe, of the home; son, George Lowe of Mulberry, FL; two daughters, Teresa Lowe Smalling and husband Tom of Johnson City and Barbara Lowe Tucker and husband Jerry of Gray; sisters Georgia Morgan and Yvonne Arnet both of Johnson City; five grandchildren, Duane and Scott Smalling, Chasity Ferrando, Wes Tucker, and Lindsey Jessen; 15 great grandchildren, and several special nieces and nephews. VISITATION: The family will receive friends Friday, July 29, 2011, from 6-8pm, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. SERVICES: Services will be held, 8pm, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home, South Chapel. BURIAL: Burial will be held, Saturday, 10am, at Monte Vista Memorial Gardens. OFFICIATING: .Brother Roy Tucker and Chaplain Victor Tucker will be officiating. The organist will be Lynda Tucker and soloist will be Jennifer Tucker. PALLBEARERS: Duane Smalling, Scott Smalling, Zach Smalling, Wes Tucker, Michael Jessen, and Dennis Ferrando HONORARY:Greatgrandchildren and nieces, Jake, Maddox, Cameron, Abby, Becca, Grayson, Hayden, Austin, Blake, Christain, Kathy Morgan, and Sherry Carden.
