Dennis E. Whaley

Dennis E. Whaley, 59, of Johnson City, passed away Friday, April 8, 2016, at the Johnson City Medical Center. Dennis was a native of Washington County. He was a son of the late James Matthew and Hazel Blevins Whaley. Mr. Whaley proudly served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a CNA at Anderson Nursing Home. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Stephani Hamelin Whaley; two sisters, Wilma Reed and Judy Foraker; three brothers, Stephen, Stanley, and Billy Ray Whaley; and step daughter, Heather Penix. The family of Dennis E. Whaley will receive friends from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm Friday, April 15, 2016 in Morris-Baker Funeral Home. Following the visitation, family and friends will proceed to Mountain Home National Cemetery for a 1 pm graveside service. Rev. Dallas Gregg will officiate. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The Boone Dam VFW Post #4933 will accord military honors.
