Dennis Edward Huevel, age 67, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 13, 2011 in the Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, SC. Mr. Huevel was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, a son of the late Albert Huevel and Dorothy Craig Huevel. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam era. He received the Good Conduct Medal and the Sharpshooter M-14. He received his Bachelors Degree from Indiana University. Mr. Huevel was a member of Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the New Dimensions Sunday School Class, drove the church van for many years, and served on the missions team to Alaska. He was a Pharmaceutical Representative for Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Company. During his many years as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative for Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Company Mr. Huevel received many awards, some including the Presidents Award in 1995 in recognition of his excellent sales record, and also receiving the Outstanding Performance Award in sales for many years. He was a member of the Masons, Scottish Rite, Shriners, and served on the Board of the Good Samaritans. In addition to his parents, Mr. Huevel was preceded in death by one brother, Steven Huevel, one brother-in-law, Robert Tucker, aunt, Jerry Belcher, and cousins, Betty and Elaine Nissley. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Tanya Huevel; one daughter, Dana Stuart and husband Samuel, of Johnson City, TN; his only son, Brad Huevel and wife Leigh, of Gray, TN; five grandchildren, Samantha Stuart, Samuel David 'Tre'? Stuart, III, Zachary Huevel, Noah Huevel, and Hope Huevel; one brother, Albert Huevel, Jr., of Wilmington, NC; one sister-in-law, Janie Tucker, of Anderson, IN; nieces and nephews, Jeff and Shelly Huevel, and Kim Knight; and several cousins. The family will receive friends Friday, March 18, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Brian Taylor officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 19, 2011, in the Monte Vista Memorial Park with military honors to be rendered by the Boone Dam VFW Post #4933 and members of the Tennessee Army National Guard. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Huevels son, Brad Huevel, members of the New Dimensions Sunday School Class, and Managers and Fellow Sales Representatives of Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Company. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home Saturday morning at 10:45 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Good Samaritans Ministries, Inc., P.O.
