Dennis Eugene Snell, 77, formerly of 2303 Keys Lane, died Thursday, September 22, 2005 at the Appalachian Christian Village. He was a native of Washington County, son of the late, Henry and Julie Webb Snell, and had lived all his life here. Mr. Snell was a retired funeral assistant at the Morris - Baker Funeral Home and a member of the Mountain View Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Arlene Mauk Snell and a brother, Kermit Snell and a sister, Louise Morse. Survivors include: his wife, Frances Campbell Snell of the home, a step daughter, Phyllis Campbell of Johnson City, two sisters, Doris McKeehan of Johnson City and Macel Gardner of Elizabethton; two step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. A graveside service is scheduled for Sunday, September 25, 2005 at the Salem Presbyterian Church Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. under the direction of Rev. James Cambron. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. when a procession will depart to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
