Dolores Crowe, 83, of Johnson City, died Friday, July 12, 2013, at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a Carter County native and life-long resident of the area and a daughter of the late Arthur and Polly Hyder McKinney. Mrs. Crowe retired as a seamstress with the V.A. Medical Center, Mountain Home. She was a member of Rich Acres Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Crowe was preceded in death by: her husband, Alfred Lee Crowe, son, James Crowe, brother, Alton McKinney, and sister, Nancy Darling. Survivors include: her partner and companion, Bill Latham, Jonesborough, two daughters, Patty Lyn Kelly, and her husband Steve, Bristol, TN, and Sara Jane Paul, Gray; son, Robert Lee Crowe, and his wife Jenny, Jacksonville, FL; three sisters, Ramona Crowe, Johnson City, Garnetta Booth, and her husband James, Johnson City, and Bernadine Bowman, and her husband Lawrence, Clarksville, TN; ten grandchildren, Stephen, Jenna, Bobby, Jaylee, Walker, Leanna, Ashley, Kelli, Jason and Michael; three great-grandchildren, Peyton, Will, and Marley; and several nieces and nephews. The family of Dolores Crowe will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, July 17, 2013 in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 PM with Rev. Kenneth Grindstaff officiating. Pallbearers will be: Steve Kelly, Lawrence Bowman, Mark Dolen, Dan Schumann, Ronnie Martin, and Roman Holtsclaw. Family and friends are asked to gather at Morris-Baker by 11:00 AM Thursday to go in procession to the U. S. National Cemetery, Mountain Home for 11:30 AM Thursday committal services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Rich Acres Free Will Baptist Church, 1245 King Springs Road, Johnson City, TN 37601.
